Method

  1. 1 Slice the spam and sausages into thick slices, and cut the tofu into squares.
  2. 2 Mix gochujang chili paste, Korean chili powder, and minced garlic into a paste ball and place it in the center of the pot.
  3. 3 Arrange spam, sausages, kimchi, tofu, and onions in neat squares around the pot for a visually appealing presentation.
  4. 4 Pour chicken broth into the pot, filling it two-thirds full, and simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  5. 5 Add the ramyeon noodles and cook for 3 minutes, then place a slice of cheese on top and let it melt, then sprinkle with green onions.

With an appliance

  • Microwave 38 min

Replace step 4: place a microwave-safe hot pot on top, loosely cover, and run at 800W for 7 minutes; this only reduces the time by about 3 minutes, but you don't need to watch for boiling over, and the pieces will still hold their position. Add the noodles in step 5 later and microwave for 2 minutes.
