Method

  1. 1 Beat the eggs with sugar and honey until dissolved, then mix in the milk.
  2. 2 Sift in the flour and baking powder, mix gently until smooth, and let rest for 20 minutes.
  3. 3 Simmer red beans with sugar until they form a sticky paste, then roll it into small balls.
  4. 4 Grease the mold with oil, pour batter halfway into the mold, then place the filling in the center.
  5. 5 Sprinkle the remaining flour over the top, cover the mold, and bake for 4 minutes on each side until the cake is golden brown and clearly shaped.

With an appliance

  • Air fryer 40 min

    Replace step 5: spray oil into the mold, close the mold, then place it in a 205-degree hot air oven for 6 minutes, flipping the mold at minute 3. The hot air helps the cake brown faster than a stovetop mold, but only a small mold that fits inside the oven can be used for each batch.
