30 min Hands-on time + 12 hr soaking or marinating first

Method

  1. 1 Rinse the dried schisandra berries quickly, then soak them in 800 ml of cold water for 12 hours.
  2. 2 Soak the omija fruit in cold water, not boiling it, because hot water will bring out its astringent and bitter taste, overpowering the other four flavors.
  3. 3 Strain the liquid to obtain the reddish-pink color, then discard the solids.
  4. 4 Add honey and sugar to balance the sweetness with the tangy acidity.
  5. 5 Slice the pear into thin, flower-shaped slices and place them in the glass.
  6. 6 Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice, pour in cold omija water, and sprinkle some pine nuts on top.
