  • Photograph of Prawns Prawns 1.6 lb
  • Photograph of Spring onion Spring onion 4.2 oz
  • Photograph of Soy sauce Soy sauce ⅔ cup

  • Photograph of Oil Oil ⅔ cup
  • Photograph of Herbs Herbs 2.8 oz

Method

  1. 1 Mix rice flour with tapioca flour and water, let it rest for 2 hours, then stir again before making the pancakes.
  2. 2 Stir the batter before each ladleful because the flour settles at the bottom; if you don't stir, the pancake sheets will be uneven in thickness.
  3. 3 Pour a very thin layer of batter onto a greased metal tray.
  4. 4 Spread the shrimp and green onions on top, then steam over high heat for 3 minutes until the wrapper is translucent.
  5. 5 Use a plastic spatula to flatten and roll the pastry sheets right in the tray while they are still hot.
  6. 6 Simmer soy sauce with sugar and ginger until it becomes a thin sauce, then pour it over the rolls and sprinkle with sesame oil.

With an appliance

  • Microwave 40 min

Replace step 4: lightly cover the baking tray with flour and microwave at 700 W for 2 minutes, rotating the tray after 1 minute to ensure the dough is evenly distributed. Step 5 requires rolling immediately while the dough is still hot, and step 6 should be left as is.
