Method

  1. 1 Sincronizada uses wheat flour tortillas instead of corn flour; that's what distinguishes it.
  2. 2 Sprinkle shredded cheese onto a sheet of bread, then layer with ham and jalapeño peppers.
  3. 3 Sprinkle another layer of cheese over the ham, then place the second sheet of bread on top.
  4. 4 The two layers of cheese sandwiching ham in between is a way to keep the two sheets of bread tightly bound together.
  5. 5 Pan-fry in butter for 3 minutes on each side until the cheese melts and the crust is lightly browned.
  6. 6 Cut into four triangular pieces and serve with avocado, tomatoes, and sour cream.

With an appliance

  • Oven 23 min

For step 5: spray oil on both sides of the sandwich, place on the middle rack of the oven at 220 degrees for 8 minutes, and flip after 4 minutes; the cheese will melt evenly, the butter will be reduced, but the pan-fried browning will disappear.
