Method

  1. 1 Sauté the minced pork with the soybean paste for 8 minutes until the meat is tender and slightly browned.
  2. 2 Mix sesame sauce with sesame oil, soy sauce, and a little broth until smooth in a bowl.
  3. 3 Pour the hot chicken broth and soy milk into the sesame sauce bowl and mix well.
  4. 4 The Japanese version adds soy milk or fresh milk to the broth for a rich and smooth consistency, unlike the Sichuan version which uses dry noodles without broth.
  5. 5 Boil the ramen noodles for 90 seconds, then add them to the sesame broth.
  6. 6 Arrange the minced meat on top, add blanched Chinese broccoli, then drizzle with chili oil and sprinkle with crushed roasted Sichuan peppercorns.

With an appliance

  • Air fryer 47 min

Replace step 1: Spread the minced pork mixed with soy sauce in a tray, run a hot air fryer at 200 degrees for 7 minutes, and stir at the 4th minute; this is about 1 minute faster, the excess fat drains to the bottom, and the edges of the meat are clearly seared without having to constantly stir the pan. The steps for preparing the sesame broth and boiling the noodles remain the same.
